Accompanied by filmmaker Frédéric Lombard, Jennifer Bonn for the sound and actrice Blandine Costaz, Mathieu Bertholet retraces the course of the Rhône, from its origins beneath a glacier in Swiss Valais to its disappearance in the waters of the Camargue. From the cold gray of the roiling river to the nauseous green of the brackish summer waters, an untamed woman is followed by a dark man. Following their trace as in a road-movie, the camera meets the women that the river has chosen not to keep. The untamed woman, blue and green, confined by a dark gray man, will disappear along with him in the mists of Port Saint-Louis.

"A same is never the same.

A crayfish, no matter what you call it, won't forget the Rhône.

And these days here, at the edge of the river which says that nothing remains.

It never changes, from the blue of the ice to the blue of the waves, it can never renounce the mountains."

A man who has no respect for women, how can he respect one woman?
